2021 Fall Seminar
For the past four years, Land Pro has held a Fall Seminar in Morris Illinois. This year’s seminar, The Agricultural Economy, Is It Sustainable? will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 and will feature economist Dan Basse and Dr. Gary Schnitkey. The seminar is an opportunity to hear presentations from experts regarding the impact of global and domestic demand, weather, and governmental policies on our agricultural sustainability as well as meet with the Land Pro staff. (Based on CDC guidelines, a determination will be made early summer 2021 if the seminar will be virtual or held in person at Jennifer’s Garden in Morris Illinois.)
Dan Basse has been in the commodity business since 1979, providing research and insight around the globe. He founded AgResource Company in 1987 to serve the needs of the United States and world agricultural community.
Gary Schnitkey, University of Illinois College of ACES, uses Farm Business Farm Management (FBFM) data on revenue and costs to analyze profitability of major field crops and to assess impacts of farm programs and risk management strategies. His research informs farmers of the most profitable rotations and encourages long-term change to impact yield.
